It's been a quiet few days here but summer has arrived at last. I am not thrilled really - not a fan of the sun and the heat, but we are blessed with a patio that is in the shade until about 12.30 and so we have enjoyed sitting out there to cool off. And thank goodness we bought an AC unit last year because that has kept the bedroom bearable.
We went to meet my wonderful goddaughter Sam and hubby Chris on Saturday which was lovely. We have a favourite pub that is exactly half way between here and Manchester so a 2.5 hour trip for each... well that's the theory. Ours took over 4 hours on the way back as there was a nasty accident that closed a very busy road and we did about 5 miles in 40 minutes. However, we were glad we were not IN the accident and prayed for the poor people who were. Thankfully it was not a fatality. However, it was worth the travel to catch up
Other than that there has been art.
Two recently finished paintings ready for my next exhibition
and I have scrapping to share - this one with a July Premium sketch from Scrap a Sketch and using the 4th July Printables
A very soggy but fabulous bird safari cruise
A page for a challenge at Pickleberrypop
and my final Scrap Squad 12 days of summer page
Today I am thankful for
- not being involved in the accident, simply delayed by it
- air conditioning
