We had such a lovely day yesterday. Although it seems impossible to believe, my god-daughter's little girl was one year old yesterday and we all gathered in her parents' garden for the most beautiful and special naming ceremony and celebration. It was conducted by the same celebrant that married them two years ago and was absolutely magical and moving and perfect. Whilst we had had rain before, the sun shone, it was warm but not hot and just perfect
In other news we had a lovely, if windswept, day out to Lepe beach we had never visited before - an important site in the d day landings
and of course, we had polling day and now have a new government ... not good news I fear ... who came in on a promise of change but just one day in were saying things were 'so bad it might take us a long time to be able to change things' Funny that!
I have been scrapping too thought there are a few pages I cannot share yet, but I can share these two challenge pages for Pickleberrypop.
This page is for a challenge I am hosting - a Big Picture challenge ... a picture of the birthday girl an amazing 5 months ago!!
And my boys for another challenge

Those of you of a prayerful disposition might like to offer up a small one today on my behalf. I am off later - yes a Sunday - for another CT scan to see if the nodule in my lung has grown or remained stable. I am praying it hasn't grown and is therefore unlikely to be anything sinsiter.
Today I am thankful for
- despite not having children I have been blessed with some truly exceptional godchildren. I am a godmother 5 times over and whilst I don't have regular contact (complicated by parents divorcing etc when they were young) with two of them, Samantha, Alice and Jim are three of the greatest blessings in our lives ... I am truly lucky to be godmother to three such utterly incredible human beings. I love them so much
Prayed! May our Lord and Savior comfort you and give you peace.

I love the pink theme carried out for the Naming celebration.
You will definitely be in my prayers and thoughts. May you find peace in the love and good wishes felt for you from family and friends.
