Last year with all that was going on, December and Christmas largely passed us by. This year I want to make the most of it and we have made a good start.
Yesterday (sadly the annual mammogram and the tense wait for results happened first) it was out art club Christmas Party and it was wonderful. From the vintage china, to the great food, the fun and games, the music and the company it was a super afternoon. Today we decided to head off to Mottisfont, another local National Trust property, to see their christmas display and it was really cute. Their theme this year was the North Pole and the elves and Santa working hard on all of the mail and the toys. There was so much postal themed and it was very cute.
This was the entrance with a tree with lots of postal ornaments - so cute
There was trail outside with cute decorations on the bridge - again postal themed - and lovely little vignettes along the way
I loved Santa's study where he replied to all of the letters the elves have sorted out
The boys were being naughty and playing instead of sleeping
The girls bedroom was perfectly quiet of course
You then boarded the Polar Express to the North Pole
Santa's lists were all there - we couldn't find Nigel at all!
But I am sure this one cannot be right!
Then a lovely drive home through the forest
I have some scrapping to share too. This was a page using one of the amazing premium sketches at Scrap a Sketch and some of the fabulous printables and I have a special offer code for you too so you can buy printables and stencils at a discount
and these are pages for Scrap Squad's 12 days of Christmas so far
Day 2
Day 3
And this is with a new release from Pickleberrypop - a great template from Chunlin Designs
Today I am thankful for
- a lovely day out
- a mammogram over and done with (everything crossed and prayers please for a good result)
- Christmas time
