We have three hospitals in our trust - Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch. Thus far I have had surgeries and appointments at both Bournemouth and Poole, today I had my only appointment at Christchurch (and thank goodness as it took us over an hour to get there with traffic!) It was a simple DEXA scan which is a baseline for the medication I am on. I didn't like to say I wasn't sure if I would STAY on the medication.
As we were over that way we decided to go out and in the end ended up at west Quay and IKEA. We were looking for bedroom ideas - didn't find any - for a specific ornament - didn't find one - and we happened to visit Nigel's favourite shop in the world (as there isn't a shop that just sells model buses!!!) Hotel Chocolat. Well it would have been rude not to.
We also had a lovely lunch out at a New Forest Pub. It was a day or normality after so many days of not normal.
I have done my first design team scrapping for a long time - can't share that of course yet - and I have been drawing and painting
Two recent paintings - one a tutorial (the post box) and one of the local landmark Old Harry Rocks
and this was a drawing from two weeks ago that was fun.
Today I am thankful for
- little bits of normal
and how amazing are these
We always tried to do an outing even if it was just a coffee after appointments depending on how my patient was it seemed to make the appointments go to the back of our minds.
