I think it is fair to say we are still focussed very much on the loss of the Queen and are watching programmes etc about her and today have been watching the coffin make its somber journey through Scotland to Edinburgh.
Today we went out to Blandford and had our best-ever kingfisher visit. We saw the kingfishers more than a dozen times flying across the river, swooping and flitting and it was beautiful. We think there were at least two but possibly three. The sun was shining and they were like iridescent jewels as they flew by. It was absolutely lovely.
Other than that I have been scrapping trying to complete the Cornwall 2021 album, which is almost done.
This was Scraptember Day 10 which is also Cornwall, Fistral Bay at Newquay
The challenge was to use 6 x 6 papers
This is Day 11 which was a sketch
As always on this day every year we have silently remembered the atrocities of 9/11 and our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all of those who were affected.
Today I am thankful for
- a lovely time sat by the river watching kingfishers
Such an emotional few days, since the death of Queen Elizabeth 11 and today she left Scotland for the last time. It was a lovely farewell ,and I was so glad the weather held out ! We had a shower of rain here yesterday, but thankfully not through In Edinburgh.
