August - they said. It's summer they said. Really.

 

It's cool and very very wet and dark and thoroughly miserable. Which is a great shame as Nigel's brother and family are down and we met them at Furzey today and it was a bit drizzly then it started to rain and it was pretty grim. Hey ho - we still had a nice visit, a bit of a walk and time to chat. The outside cafe didn't hold a lot of appeal in the rain and photos were 'interesting' but I stall managed. And the dark and wet did make for nice contrast

There were few of the fary doors in evidence as quite a bit was shut off or being repaired, but there were a few doors here

 

our lovely niece and nephew

 

 

 

 

It was nice to see everyone, but nice to get back in the dry too.

Today I am thankful for

• our wonderful GP surgery - we really are very lucky
• umbrellas
• seeing family
• new stash - my first ever fox box ... a lovely present

 

 

Good News

I am hesitant to write this because we are not completely out of the woods yet but we can see the light now.

Indy and Koda had blood test number 3 yesterday and the results were good. There were a couple of things a little lower than perfect but wow - I was dreading they would be showing symptoms in their blood of low neutrophils etc but they were fine. The vet, who again said they were lovely and really special Bengals, said they were the bloods of healthy cats.

No one knows yet how long is truly safe but he feels that after 7 weeks it is looking good and I can stop panicking.

I feel I will still have one final test in a month but I am so relieved. I also feel a bit of survivor guilt as there are so many people lost their beloved fur babies to pancytopenia. Thank you all of you who have sent messages of support and comfort whilst we have been so worried

We put up my art exhibition pieces today. I am so proud to have 14 pictures in the gallery - plus my usual plaques etc - and they look lovely hung.

Today I am thankful for

• The cats being OK and the support I have had from so many people
• the chance to exhibit my work (I am NOT expecting to sell any)

 

 

We have power

It's been a tricky few days again as we were back on the immersion heater again, but today our boiler man came out and it was, hopefully a simple fix. The good news is the heat came on and all the power didn't blow. Bonus

 

We spent a longtime in the garden today just cutting and tidying.

I have also done - no surprise - a bit of scrapping and a lot more cardmaking

 

I was quite pleased with this one as it has texture paste and mulberry paper and that's a lot for me

and finally and opening one - yes I am behind and still only on March for the annual pages

 

 

 

Today I am thankful for

• a tidy garden
• healthy kittens - please think of us tomorrow as they have another blood test and we hope their numbers have remained stable
