It would appear that I have to re-name Indy already. He is not yet four months old and has won himself another name - Bonnington
He is a climber - big time - and it is combined with a completely NO FEAR attitude which makes for a bad combination.
Koda is scared of anything - though steely determined when there is something he wants. Indy is scared of nothing. He climbs and climbs and climbs and knows no fear. We know Bengals are climbers - we are experienced. Fiki used to sit on top of doors. So we protected the stairs before they arrived, covering the open bannisters with clear plastic so they couldn't accidentally fall through. We hadn't however, banked on him jumping up onto the top of the bannister and falling down two floors top to bottom. He did that yesterday. Now bear in mind he is tiny we have no idea how he didn't seriously hurt himself. I know they land not heir feet but a fall that high is NOT good. So today's game was to try and ensure he couldn't do it again. more plastic sheeting and our beautiful hall and stairway look awful but we THINK we have protected it from Bonnington.
Thank heavens for cable ties.
It's a good job he is incredibly cute. This was them asleep on our bed this morning - Koda is such a lovely boy he likes to cuddle his little brother.
New scrapping and painting today
There was a challenge to make a cupcake - I can't bake so I painted them!
Today I am thankful for
- Bonnington not being hurt when he fell. Our hearts stopped when we heard the bang
- plastic sheeting and cable ties
- calm Koda to balance intrepid Indy
I can see Koda thinks he needs to hold on to Indy to make sure he is getting his catnap. Otherwise, he would still be climbing the walls. :-D :-D :-D
Those cupcakes look good enough to eat! Gorgeous.
Don't worry about what the house looks like with plastic sheeting tied up. No one cares about that. We want Indy to be safe, too. :-)
