Take care. Heat can be so deadly. Air-conditioning is certainly a blessing. When I was growing up on a northwest Missouri farm, our home did not have a/c. We would work out in the fields, do chores, and maintain a garden and lawn in the most horrid days of heat and HUMIDITY. There was no respite to go into the house to cool off. Sleeping--or trying to sleep--at night was just as miserable. Even though the sun went down, it didn't cool off a bit. I truly appreciate a/c now and try not to take it for granted.
How do your furbabies handle the heat? I hope the high temps will pass through quickly, and give you back the cooler more enjoyable weather soon.
I love the layout about the 'L'. It has that "ol' Chicago" style. :-)
