It was a glorious morning and so we were up early and out for a longer walk than usual at Hengistbury Head and it was lovely.
We enjoyed the cruise ships in the bay on our way over. Two of them were P and O (two of the three Arcadia, Oceana and Ventura ... no idea which two but two of them) plus the very beautiful Queen Victoria. I think she is so much more elegant and reminiscent of the old cruise liners like the Queen Mary. I can't imagine how much it is costing P and O and Cunard to have them running int he bay, let alone the loss of revenue from no cruises. The sea was an amazing colour today.
It was a lovely walk with the estuary on the way out
Lots of birds and several egrets too
Home in time for lunch ont he balcony and a spot of light gardening. (Too hot to do much to be honest)
Do I love my life. Yes I do. I could do without the incredible jaw and head pain I have been in for the past three or four days to be honest though. I called the hospital as the letter told me to do if I hadn't heard by 17th and was told that they hadn't even got to my appointment time yet. I am assuming I will get an appointment in 2021 (she said there is 'quite a wait'. So I have now got a telephone appointment with the GP to see how long I can stay on the medication for. It was meant to be an interim fix!
Most of my scrapping cannot be shared yet as it is for release tomorrow but I can share this one made for a challenge example at ATDML.
And finally - anyone who knows Nigel knows he is a space geek and so visiting Huntsville Alabama was a huge deal for him (and I really enjoyed it too) I made this for a challenge on UKS and wanted to scrap it today as it is the 51st anniversary of the moon landing.
Today I am thankful for
- a lovely walk
- living by the sea
- the sound and smell and feel of the ocean
- retirement
Red, white, and blue is (of course) my favorite color combo for any layout! :-D
Fiki always takes the most adorable photos. He must have been young in that picture. I don't see any gray hair on him there. :-)
Everything looks so blue and beautiful for your walk! I guess that horrible heat had moved on?
Are those little beachside cabins for rent during the summer? Are they permanent residences all year 'round?
