It's been a rather lovely weekend. The weather hasn't been fab but I have been scrapping plus we have had lots of safe socialising.
My weekend began with a zoom session with friends and team members from UKS which was lovely. We had a great time setting and sharing challenges. I scrapped lots of pages (see below) I did on line doodling sessions with my best friend (it is so much fun to do this together even though not together) I enjoyed video calls with my god-daughter and family and also the next night a quiz via zoom with them and their friends. Today I had a phone call from a good friend who was about to walk her dog and was outside the house so we had a lovely 'driveway' chat.
I really don't mind the lockdown and Nigel and I are very happy together but it is nice to safely socialise too and makes you realise we do need company. My heart goes out to people who are very isolated.
Anyway - some of the pages made this weekend for various challenges
We are rubbish gardeners but every April and May our garden does something quite spectacular
This one is for the Coast to Coast album
This is for my lockdown 2020 album
another three for Coast to Coast
Notre Dame Basillica in Montreal
The lovely town of Red Cloud - an unexpected bonus
Today I am thankful for
- lots of lovely challenges
- technology that makes socialising possible in these dark times
I say "Amen" to the technology that allows us to "gather together" even though we are apart. I know electronics can present dangers of hacking, stealing personal info, and major loss of info from a crash, but in these times, it can be a sanity-saver to be able to see the faces of loved ones, hear their voices, and share stories of what is happening in their lives.
And then there is always the digital scrapping, which is a BONUS!!
My heart goes out to the elderly (which I have found out is what I am called these days). To those who do not have a computer or any computer skills. It does really cut them off from the rest of the world. :'(
