Beautiful - so many things right now in my life.
The weather is beautiful - it has been hot and sunny and we have been able to get out and about.
The new tops we bought today for MIL are beautiful and she liked them which was the main thing. She is almost kitted out for summer now.
sharing time together was beautiful - we did nothing special but it was lovely
A walk in the sunshine was beautiful too.
Oh and my new car is beautiful too. I have had my Peugeot for 10 years (though there is not a mark on it and it has done just 26000 miles) and I love her so much - she is pretty and cute and convertible. But she has a door the size of an elephant as she is a two-door and she is low. Car parking spaces are so tight these days that you can never get the door very far open and as it is so big you end up getting out behind yourself, if you see what I mean. The older I get the less agile I get and the more this frustrates me beyond words. I knew it was time to grow up and have a sensible car. A car that will hopefully be my forever car as I do so few miles realistically. So we went hunting for a car. I wanted something small and easy and just normal. I test drove the Fiat 500 a while back but in the automatic, it was the nastiest drive I have ever had in any car. We looked at the Mazda (Ok but not very special and not very high spec) and at the Mini (my second car was a beaten up old mini and I loved her) Minis are now BIG and so expensive. Even a basic 5 door was beyond my means with nothing extra on it. And I did want extras. I have gotten used to sat nav and cameras and heated seats and so on with Nigel's car and I have loved Apple Car play in mine. We looked at Renaults and Peugeots and Hyundai and I seriously considered the i20. But I have always had special distinctive cars and in the Hyundai garage, we saw a used car we fell in love with. We both loved it on sight. It was so pretty and quirky and 'out there'. We didn't think for a minute it would be automatic - but it was. It was the car they had used for the advertising features on the new model and had just 1500 miles on the clock. It was automatic and had everything imaginable on it as gadgets including car play. We test drove her and both fell in love. A sensible little car. Um no. A citrus green compact SUV with a turbo. My goodness, she flies. The final clincher was that Nigel loved it and we agreed it would be a car we could both drive and spread the miles so not so many miles go on his car. She is a Kona which in Hawaiian means lady so the page below will make more sense.
So life is indeed beautiful - and green!
I also have a new page to share made today with Flowers for Mother from PrelestnayaP ... the photo is my cousin and son
