Well - in the words of Pooh
The rain, rain, rain
Came down, down, down
In rushing, rising riv'lets
It has rained all day and when we did venture out - well shopping doesn't do itself (actually it does if you plan ahead and have it delivered but heck ... you know what I mean) there were lots of roads with very very deep puddles. We panicked not in a 4x4 but it shows how heavy the rain had been.
Apart from that, we have had a quiet day with a long lie in and then some hobby time in the studio together; me scrapping Nigel editing.
I have a new page to share which is a bit of a hard page. Nigel asked if I was going to scrap Auschwitz and I said I wasn't sure. However, as a scrapper who records our lives in our albums, I knew I had to but I just wasn't sure how. I wanted to celebrate that we had been, on what was a real pilgrimage for us, but didn't want to celebrate the place or the memories of what happened there. In the end, I kept it very very simple - very simple and focused on the journalling, but I even found that very difficult to record. I mean it when I say we are still processing the whole experience.
I also have new scrapping from Dawn to share. She has a new collection out today called Live for Today which has lovely colours and I used it to scrap a page with a photo from our trip to Weymouth a couple of days ago
Today I am thankful for
- a quiet day
- being inside in the warm and dry
- my washing machine limping through another load though it did need careful encouragement to do the prgramme we wanted.
and I share these today from t'internet. Some pretty amazing sculptures and balances
