Today we returned to our cinema ... it had been closed during the bad weather and we could not have got there anyway. Today, a spur of the moment decision, we went to see Red Sparrow.
The reviews I had read about it were not good and I confess to not being a huge Jennifer Lawrence fan. I was a great fun through Hunger Games but having seen her in several interviews I decided she wasn't the girl I initially thought and I am afraid Mother! did it for me completely. Which is unfair as it really wasn't her fault the film was so awful.
However, we both renjoyedRed Sparrow. It kept us guessing, the parts were intriguing, one of us didn't see the ending coming, though one of us did and SHE is very modest about it! All in all a great way to spend a rainy Monday afternoon.
This morning Nigel had to sort some speedway stuff out so I scrapped of course.
How often to you see the Magic Kingdom almost empty? Almost never I say. I have countless pictures from the day that show huge areas of the park devoid of people. All rides were walk ons from Splash mountain and space mountain to Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion. I am guessing Peter Pan wasn't (how the heck does that get lines like it does!) but then we never even tried.
Pirates was a walk on and - unheard of - we had a boat to ourselves ... just we two in a boat, all alone.
It was such an unusual thing I had to scrap the ride photo.
Today I am thankful for
- a good film
- two cats - they were just adorable this morning. We count our blessings for them daily.
