We had a busy but somehow relaxing weekend. Some of it involved doing nothing much, some involved baking bread, lots of housework and lots of scrapping and some involved going out.
We headed off to Swanage yesterday, largely to get me out of the house for Mother's Day. I always find mother's Day very hard as I no longer have my beloved Mom and, apart from being Mother of Cats, I don't have children, so it is a hard day. However, my fur family bought me cards and gifts and Nigel whisked me out. I was also thrilled to get a thank you on Mother's Day card from a good friend which was such a thoughtful thing.
Swanage and Corfe were very misty and quite bleak, but we still had fun.
I have new scrapping to share today
I was sorting out and I found this sign post in a guide book we had picked up for free in natchez and I just wanted to use it on a page. It was fun to make
I also made this fun page for a challenge on Pickleberrypop to scrap a favourite. I am the first to admit I am totally and utterly addicted to Grey's Anatomy. It is on now as I type. It is always on!
I love it
I was also thrilled today that my page of the snowy cottage using Tiramisu designs won layout of the week at Pickleberrypop. It is the first time I have even been in the running so I am thrilled by that.
Today I am thankful for
- an enjoyable weekend
- jobs well done
- thoughtfulness of friends
