All to often when I paint or draw I end up very unhappy with the finished thing I produce.
Today I finished a painting of Fiki - it is an A4 size and took about 5 hours and lots and lots of little strokes.
I am pleased because the fur looks like fur and the finished picture actually looks like Fiki
This one may actually get framed
And as this is meant - technically - to be a scrapping blog, I actually have new scrapping to share
Two pages even
The first is a digital page Made with a kit called Beyond the Mist by Mooscraps
and this is a fun page I made today of daft pictures of Nigel and I(It's been an arty scrappy sort of day!)
Today I am thankful for
- a completed piece of art I actually like
- creative time - it keeps me sane. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have creative hobbies
And finally - news just in ...
I decided to do a photo a day this year (please remind me in September ... or even April ... that I was upbeat about this in January!) using insta pics and to scrap a double page at the end of each month. Hopefully, this will be an easier way than last year of doing my yearly pages. Just 12 doubles to do and all the photos will already be dated and in frames! Problem is my life isn't very exciting and so the pictures are not exciting, but I guess that is OK as it is a true reflection of our year. Result - first double page done
Wow your painting is gorgeous

Oh my! That painting of Fiki is amazing--- all those teeny-tiny strokes. I'm afraid my hand would be in a sling after five hours of that! But you have a beautiful result. How did Fiki like it? :-)
Wonderful layouts, as always. Such inspiration for me.
Good luck with your photo a day. It is a big job to take on (I'm finding out with my Create Your 365 class).
