The sort of day you want to sit int he sun or stay int he shade. Not the sort of day you want to WORK in the sun - but we did and it is done.
Rear balcony and steps rubbed down ... check
Rear balcony and steps repainted ... check
Patio cleaned ... check
Side strimmed .... check
Gaps filled with sand ... check
Artifical grass laid ... check.
It looks awesome and I have been told that the lower patio is now mine to play with and decorate. I am thinking bunting and cushions and nautical themed driftwood art. I can't wait.
But tomorrow - tomorrow we are going to SIT on the new patio and enjoy relaxing in the sun. We are shattered.
I have a painting to share today that I finished off from Thursday's art class. I found the class a little too frantic for me and I don't like the far field and sky that I did in the class. I left most of the rest of it to do at home at my leisure. It is all watercolours and was some new techniques I hadn't done before. The picture is of the white horse at Osmington and the horse was the last thing I did ... you washed the paint off to reveal your horse. Very odd.
I was pleased with the path and the fence and fields I did at home
I prefer it to my corfe picture ... still so much to learn.
Today I am thankful for
- achieving what we set out to do ... something at home that went right - but i think that was because we did it ourselves
- the fan blowing on my back right now!!!
Oh my! All that work would have taken Steve and me a MONTH to complete! Congratulations on your accomplishments!
The watercolor is amazing, too. You have great patience to work with that media and end up with such wonderful detail.
