The last couple of days have been a learning curve.
It's amazing what you take for granted and what is hard to learn to do differently.
Whatever happened when the doctor checked my knee means it doesn't bend - well not without abject agony anyway.
Judging by the huge swelling I would say there is a fair bit of fluid there and probably the bits of 'bone' 'gunk' whatever it is and it feels like it is all under the kneecap so any bend at all is searing agony. Serious searing agony. Consequently I cannot really bend it without feeling like I am going to throw up - so I have been learning to do things with a straight leg. I spent most of yesterday on the bed as keeping it straight was easy. I have discovered stairs are OK (I can weight bear fine) as you can do those with the leg straight if you take your time. Putting on socks and leggings was great fun and sitting down and getting up off the loo is unbridled hell. Getting in and out of the car was a challenge and the worst of all - the door to the scrap room has a gate on (fiki proof) and a huge step you have to climb over - once in I don't come out easily. I thought it might have eased a bit today but nope - still dreadful. Let's hope this starts to clear soon as it is zero zero fun!
I have new scrapping to share that was made a few days ago with a new release by Dawn
I couldn't resist the picture of Nigel with the statue - a picture taken earlier this month at Morden walled garden.
Today I am thankful for
- learning new skills - and the ability to see a glimmer of silver lining
- good books to read whilst lying in state!
and the last of the batch of interesting photos I snagged
Now that's what I call cleaning
I'd hate to be on this ship!!!
very clever
Nature will find a way
I think this is central park
Sending love and prayers for a speedy recovery, that sounds dreadful

Steve had to have a debridement of his kneecap once. His knee was in such pain from an auto accident. Would that be of help for your case?
I am glad you are finding ways to cope, and I hope you don't have to use those methods much longer. Get well quick!
