Yesterday was busy but in a good way. We had our wonderful godson and his beautiful fiancee visiting and had a wonderful time. They are such incredible young people and I can't believe that is a few months time, the little baby I helped deliver who is now a strapping young man, will be a husband, married to the girl he loves so much. We are so looking forward to their wedding, all the more so as Nigel is to be Best Man -what an honour that he asked his godfather to play that role.
It's been a glorious Easter day. I loved the cross that we all made together in church, every member of the congregation adding fresh flowers to what turned out to be a truly beautiful cross. The sermon on Good Friday had been about how the ugliness and horror of the cross was transformed into a thing of wonder and beauty and this was a very visual sign.
I'm afraid the photos don't do it justice
On the way to visit Nigel's Mom we also drove past the cross always up at Easter outside Liliput church which we enjoy seeing so much
and to finish it off, beautiful bluebells in the gardens
I also have some new scrapping to share ... as everything is so springlike in this post this is a page I made for a none-photo challenge over at Pickleberrypop using gorgeous goodies from Tiramisu Designs
I leave you with good wishes for Easter and the year ahead.
What a beautiful Easter message, and the gorgeous transformed cross! What a wonderful way to portray the Easter message!
God bless you and Nigel for being such wonderful people and such amazing role models. <3
