I love when you go somewhere you haven't been before and it is like being on holiday in another place entirely even though you are close to home.
It was a beautiful beautiful day and so we headed off to Moors Valley. I cannot believe that we have never been before - we must be the only people int he Northern Hemisphere who haven't! OK a bit of an exaggeration but for the last goodness knows how many years I have worked in a school locally and EVERYONE had been - lots. We never had - but we rectified that today.
It was absolutely glorious weather and there were very few people there, parking is cheap on week days (the beauty of retirement - we have no money but things are cheaper!) and we had a lovely long walk - a little longer than my heel would have liked. I wore good old comfy walking boots but for some reason they rubbed where they never have before and I have a cracking blister. But it was fab. Lunch there sat in the sunshine - perfect. We will return! Nigel wants to go and see the train which wasn't running. I am not sure we will like it so much when it is heaving with little people.
No new scrapping today - though I do have new pictures to scrap.
But I made this last week
I used the digital template I made for the UKS sketch this last week.
Today I am thankful for
- new places
- sunshine
- compede plasters
