Today has been glorious - really bright and sunny and so much warmer than the last few days.
We headed for a walk we haven't done before in Upton Country Park where they have put in a new boardwalk near Holes Bay. We took the binoculars and watched the birds and we saw ... (not my photos ... they were a long way off and we were using binoculars)
Canada Geese
common shelduck
cormorants
pintail
teal
We often see curlew and oyster catchers and egrets but none today.
It was a gorgeous walk though and a lovely day
and I liked this one through the hide
It was a longer walk than we often do - and we plan on going further next time.
Bard you asked if I go out to get the photos - sometimes yes, but we do like to try and get out for a walk every day. Often just round our local area but we are very lucky with where we live. Other than that my weekly pages would be very dull with just photos of the house lol
I have new scrapping to share today - hot off the press. I did the challenge on UKS this afternoon
It features pictures from my foggy frosty walk on the heath when the fog didn't lift for three days straight. It was beautiful.
Today I am thankful for
- binoculars - we have a really good pair Nigel's brother bought him for his 60th birthday
- water birds - well all birds really
- my little boy who has been a bit obsessed with his Mommy lately.... but I confess it would be nice to go to the bathroom alone just occasionally!
