Today was a perfect Autumn Day
Bright sunshine, a bit of a nip in the air and no wind.
We went to the Remembrance Day Service at the War Memorial in Poole Park and it was wonderful.
Very moving service and all the more so as it was in 'our' park in our home town.
The park was beautiful too. You'd travel a long way to see a prettier lake
I also did some scrapping for a challenge I am hosting today and it had to be about remembrance
I am so proud of the military heritage of my father and grandfather every day - but especially on a day such as today
Today I am thankful for
- a moving service we could be a part of
- a glorious Autumn Day
- Poole Park - I love it
I just love the red, white, and black color combo.
Do the swans stay year-round at the park? They are so beautiful. I'd probably be taking pictures of them every day. :-)
Would you mind telling me the significance the people wearing long red robes at the parade? I'm sure it must have something to do with their prominence in the community, but I am not familiar. Thanks!
