It is definitely starting to feel springlike. Not only because flowers are blooming in the garden but because lots of spring kits are emerging too.
The garden is odd.
We had such a mild winter that I had azaleas that suddenly flowered in November which was totally bizarre. Consequently it is now Aprila nd my azaleas are usually a riot of colour and bloom and I have two which have not flowered at all. They obviously thought 'we did our bit' and are now on strike.
We also have a massive - and very beautiful - clematis which is loaded with buds about to burst and yet has no leaves yet! Very strange. It normally comes into leaf around now and the flowers come in May. The seasons are so topsy turvey.
Anyway I digress.
I have been scrapping with more spring things and made this page with a collection called A Spring Morning by Fanette Designs
It is another for the Belgium album - this time the digital version
The photo is one we really wanted to get and so next week I will share the paper page made with it too. I hoped we would see a bike on a bridge with a canal in the background as it seemed such an iconic image. Turns out they were everywhere. It wasn't a hard shot to get!
Today we have had workmen in fitting a new kitchen tap and an electric charger for the car. We had a spray tap fitted int he kitchen about 8 years ago and it never ever worked properly. We have low pressure on the hot feed as it is a gravity fed system. It would only spray if you held it down and crossed fingers, legs and eyes. It had started to leak so I bought a new one off 'tinternet! and looked for one that said low pressure.
Oh my - it works like a dream. Of course I had to clear the cupboard under the sink. Goodness me I have a lot of cleaning products that have never seen the light of day. The bin had done well and we will now use some of the more elaborate products and see what they are like!
Today I am thankful for
- holidays giving time to get jobs done
- workmen who were lovely
- jobs completed
