What have I done today?
I wasn't busy.
I wasn't out.
I wasn't tied up.
I was busy doing nothing. Chilling. Unwinding. relaxing.
I think after a very busy term the first week goes in a flash as you suddenly realise that you are off and you go at it madly. The second week, you just really relax. Really relax. And your body does nothing.
Anyway ... I just plain relaxed and did diddly squat.
Today I did some mind shatteringly easy colouring. I was planning to scrap but actually colouring was the draw.
I was a little reticent about how much I would like the colouring books before I bought them. I couldn't decided which to get so ended up getting both Secret Garden and Animal Kingdom and I love both.
Anyway - this is the product of my labours today. In term time I get so much done in a day. On holidays it can take me a day to colour a page. I seem to work at a different speed.
Today I am thankful for
- a day of really relaxing
- my gorgeous spectrum noir pencils ... I love them
and just because this made me smile today
Lovely coloring! This is just now hitting the stores in Minnesota. Steve couldn't believe it! (He was more of a pen-and-ink-type artist instead of coloring).
Do you do much with the zentangles any more, Karen?
Now, you just go right ahead and be as lazy as you like. That's what a real vacation is all about :-D
