I am back at work which means I look for a little escapism at times and escapism for me is always Florida. Work funds my Florida habit!
So this is another Floridian page.
I remember when we very first went to Florida in 1993, having never wanted to visit because of course Disney World wasn't the REAL Disney (and we loved the real Disney in California) we were shocked at how beautiful it was and surprised that friends had never mentioned it. It was lush and green and had lots of lakes and was, of course, very very flat!
Now, as Florida regulars - our next visit will be our 10th I think - we still think it is beautiful, we far prefer Disney World to Disneyland and we are well and truly hooked.
The beauty of the landscape extends to the theme parks and yes, we are theme park addicts. We don't only like the big rides, we love just wandering, enjoying the detail, the imagineering, the theme.
Last year was our fist visit to New Fantasyland and I was struck by the beauty of the area, in particular how Under the Sea with Ariel was so lovely.
The papers - which just worked brilliantly - were bought in America on our last trip.
Today I am thankful for
- a huge job tackled really well - two heads work better than one!
- Florida's beauty ... love it.
Finally I have some more amazing randomness to share. These blew me away.
If you thought balloon animals are simply a fairground novelty, then Japanese artist Masayoshi Matsumoto has some balloon animal art to show you.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about them is that Masayoshi uses only balloons – no tape or markers.
