Nigel always says he marks our years with some of our annual events and he knows the winter is hopefully drawing to an end and days are getting lighter when we do our annual snowdrop trip.
Today we headed off to Kingston Lacy where it was one of the snowdrop weekends. We waited a little later so more would be out and we had a lovely trip and a great walk, but the snowdrops were very disappointing this year.
We have seen them when the whole snowdrop walk looks like drifts of snow but they were very sparse this year. Perhaps the most disappointing we have seen.
However, we still had a lovely walk though the wind was bitingly cold.
as well as the snowdrops the camelias were starting to come
it was just beautiful
We love the Japanese garden but have never seen the water iced before.
and I also did a little scrapping with a new kit - the Pickled pairs free with purchase and trust me - it is lush. It is called You're making me blush and is a collab between Anna BV and Created by Jill
and this is what I made
Isn't she gorgeous!
Today I am thankful for
- time to work and time to relax
- a lovely walk in parkland and woodland
- warmth
I can't even imagine seeing flowers this time of year! Sorry they weren't as numerous this time, but just seeing a bit of spring is exciting :-) Love your nature shots.
