So today sees the last day of half term - back to the world opf reality tomorrow, but I have jad a lovely week. Yes I have caught up on work but I have also caught up on life too.
- I have scrapped - quite a lot actually.
- I have caught up on CT and DT commitments.
- I have been to London.
- I havebeen to the beach.
- I have been out for lots of meals.
- I have had an amazing pumpkin carved for me
- I have shopped
- I have relaxed
Bring on the next 6 weeks - I THINK I am ready (bet I don't feel that way by the end of the week but heck!)
I made this page today - based very heavily on a page I saw on Pinterest - see I do USE Pinterest - not just look at it.
The original page was by Susan Stringfellow at Creative Savvy and I even had the same papers funnily enough.
I adore merekats so much and I love ther Lion King so this is a great tribute to both things.
It's been a while since I have done so much hand cutting with a knife. I hand cut the animals, the circles, the letters.
I had forgotten how theraputic that is.
I used an ivy leaf die cut ... a lot.
And the words of the song are round the circle.
It's not as nice as the orginal but I kind of like it. Unusual for me to lift a page so closely but it was kind of fun not coming up with the idea. Made a lazy change.
Don't forget to snap up the margain everywhere for your digital scrapping at the moment
You still have time to snap up Dawn's bargains HERE
And terrific offers at PBP here
Today I am thankful for a wonderful half term
Well, I don't quite agree that your page "isn't quite as nice as" the one you scraplifted. I like them both, for different reasons. I love what you have done with the circle idea - using an inside circle as a photo mat is a really good design and all the circles you've cut out are lovely. I also like your lettering better. I actually prefer your finished result - but that's preference, not a judgement on which is "better" or "nicer".
It's a great scraplift.

Your page is "WILD" -- LOL! ;-) I can't believe you did all that intricate cutting with a knife!! I'd have such a terrible hand cramp, I'd never be able to use it again.
I'm so glad you had a great holiday. Sounds like you got well rested and are ready to roll to the end of the year :-)
