I am starting to adapt to my new sun-free life and getting nmore used to sitting int he shade.
Plus my UV protective swim shirts arrived today and actually they are not bad and will keep me safe in the water on holiday.
Today's post will be brief - well let's face it ... yesterdays was a whopper.
The page I ams haring today is a web version of the real thing. It is a real life page but probably best shared with just Nigel and I.
I really do feel very lucky and blessed after my recent health issues. I had a malignant mole but it has gone. The area around is clear and whilst I may be more at risk from others, I am clear at the moment.
The scar is on my back and, actually, the new scar is looking sooooo good. It is healing much better than the first scar and, as yet, still quite closed and tight. I know it may form a kelloid scar but at least it is not on my face. It is well hidden and I do feel very lucky. So I scrapped it.
In the interests of not scaring you I have hidden the pictures which show the offending mole (it was text book melanoma ... really ugly and horrid) and the op and healing scar. The pictures look fine really - I have just coloured over the images.
It is good to have this to look back on and remember the journey.
I will do a companion page to sho this scar as it is quite different to the first.
Today I am thankful for
- completing some jobs that have been sitting round for ever
- a successful day
- courage
I've been on a scrapping retreat, and am just now getting around to catching up.
I'm glad to hear your healing is going well, and your melanoma is put to rest. May God continue to watch over you and give you the good health you need.
