Holidays can't all be fun and games and I have largely worked today but reports are well under way and many admin jobs completed.
And there is a certain sense of satisfaction in that too.
We had a bit of a thrill today to get a facetime call ...

from the Magic Kingdom.
I was so thrilled to see them there and know they are having such a good time - even if they are finding it very hot.
It was just so great to see them with the castle as the backdrop.
Isn't technology marvellous.
We did pop out for a frap today and this gorgeous ship was tied up at Poole Quay.
It wasn't a fab day so I surfed and found some more info on her. She is the Youth Trust's tall Ship Stavros St Niarchos.
I have a very special page to share today - a page about Nigel as I am so darned proud of him. I am proud of him every single day - but when the Echo ran a full page feature on him I was fit to burst.
I couldn't wait to scrap it.
The Echo article is tucked underneath the mat which is actually a pocket and I left the date sticking out and it acts as the date for the page itself
I called the page the Voice as it was the title in the newspaper.
and even though I know what it said - I also scanned the article so I could have it on my blog as well.
You can see why I am so proud of him. He does an amazing job at Poole Speedway and is well thought of and respected. I love him for that ... and for so much more.
Today I offically became part of a very different blog hop.
I was nominated by MaryAnne of UKScrappers (I mean really MaryAnne IS UKScrappers)
She is a scrapper I so respect and have admired for years. I was quite in awe of her the first time I met her.
I cannot help myself and include a photo of us at a retreat back in 2009.
MaryAnne is an inspirational crafter. I am loathe to say scrapper as she is so much more than that.
You can read all about her, how and why she crafts, over at her blog today which is HERE
Please go and check it out and you can see what I responded next Monday 2nd June
Today I am thankful for
- Technology that helps us bridge the miles. The world is indeed so much smaller
- Inspirational people
- Unexpected sights
- NIGEL
