OK so where do I get time from.
When I am at work I work every minute but still find 10 mins a day to do my blog.
Today - on holiday - I ran out of time and didn't gett he chance until now.
True I have been catching up on school work.
True I have been busy - I actually did 14 double page circle journal pages for school today as it happened!
But I just seem to work at a slower speed in holidays.
Ah well - maybe that is what the body and mind need.
I had a lovely surprise - well two lovely surprises - today.
I have been having a bit of a tough time recently, though I am trying really hard to stay positive and not dread the nexts tep too much, and two things arrived in the post to make me happy. I had a beautiful card from Sara - a scrapping friend I have known since 2003 when I started scrapping. Sara your thoughts and prayers mean the world - thank you.
Then the doorbell rang and the postman bought a parcel. I was surprised as I knew I hadn't ordered anything mail order.
I opened it to find a beautifully wrapped parecel. It was from Dawn and her family and was the most gorgeous Willow Tree angel - a guardian angel to watch over me. She is even holding a little cat - the ultimate thoughtful gift ... and I know I am int heir thoughts.
I am so touched by her kindness. Dawn is another friend I made through this amazing hobby but our friendship goes way beyond just scrapping. The miles separate us and we don't get together as often as we would like, but whenever we do it is special. We have even managed to spend time together in our 'joint home from home' in Disney. Her husband and daughter are also such special people and I count myself very blessed today to be cared about and thought about.
It was new release day today at Puckleberrypop and I worked with a gigantic collection which was a collaboration between Fayette and Sheri called Sweetpea and Me.
It is MASSIVE and lovely and this is what I made with it.
Today I am thankful for
- such thoughtful and special friends. I love the line from Its A Wonderful Life where Clarence writes in George Bailey's book and it says 'Remember, George: no man is a failure who has friends.' Friends truly are the richness in life and it isn't often enough that I take time to stop and be thankful for having them. Todayw as a day to be truly thankful.
Seemed apt to have some friendship quotes today
How touching to hear of such wonderful friends who helped to cheer you up today. :-)
Having a break from the regular routine. You can move at your own pace, try new things, and let go of some of life's stress. Enjoy the rest of your break!

I'm sorry you've been having a tough time and pray you will find the strength and guidance for whatever you need to do next.
Lovely gift and cards - how cheering and kind!
I remember having a very low period some years back - I was so depressed one day I stayed in bed. The postman rang and it was a present from my dear aunt - she had made me a beautiful embroidered goldwork picture, which she had even mounted on a block for hanging. I was so touched I cried - but it did me the world of good. I got up, stopped feeling sorry for myself and got on with it.
Sometimes you just need that little reminder that people do care. I really hope the lovely gestures from your dear friends have given you the boost you need.
Have a good weekend and I wish you a successful week back at work.
