It must be the holidays
I got to do a challenge on the same day it was set
The challenge was to scrap an animal ... well let's face it that was never a big ask for me was it.
You also had to use circles and a title from a musical. It was actuallky the title that took me the longest by far.
In the end I went with a song from Dirty Dancing.
I started by sepndinga ges edging the lighter paper with Tim Holtz distressed stamps and stencils and some old edge stamps.
It was vert subtle. Perhaps so subtle that when I tild Nigel he said it looked like the paper had just been made like that.
I THINK he meant it as a compliment!
I also spent ages punching and sticking little bits of paper to make the circles less plain.
The page is dedicated to our little girl who scrams to go outside and when she gets outside she screams ... loudly ... that she doesn't like it really and wants to return to teh safety of indoors.
Today I am thankful that
- I am on holiday
- I have time to scrap
I happened across these vintage posters that I liked - all places in the US we have loved visiting. Yes Barb, you are right, we have been very lucky to have seen such a lot of your beautiful country.
Thanks for sharing those amazing posters! :-)
I love, love, love your story of Kira wanting to go outdoors! It's 'way too funny :-D
Beautiful layout-- and such intricate work. It's easy to see your love of the craft through the care you take with each page you complete!
Sounds as though your health is returning and you are getting stronger. I'm glad you have this holiday to help you get back to your perky self :-)
