It was lovely to have Nigel's brother from America staying as it meant we went out and about and did some lovely things.
One of them was having afternoon tea at the Harbour Heights - the best views in town.
It was a lovely afternoon and merited a page in our 2013 album.
It was one of those pages where you have an idea and then it kind of takes over.
I wanted to include a tea set ont he page and so searched for an image.
I printed it off, spent ages colouring it in and cutting it out and then almost didn't use it ont he page.
It just didn't quite work as I had envisaged.
However, after the effort it was staying!
The tea was lovely - just scones and tea, not a full blown afternoon tea with cakes and sandwiches, and it was very good value too. We will be going back again one day.
I am determined, however, to take Nigel for afternoon tea at the Chewton Glen this summer as that was truly fabulous.
Mind you it was incredibly expensive so I guess it had to be good. This is what it looked like and yes, Jakki and I polished the lot off.
Oh that final photo of high tea looks soooo yummy!! I've had high tea ONCE and it was in Colorado ;-) But it was an authentic English tea house run by an Englishman who had moved to the States several years before. The place is really popular, but of course, the tea selections were marvelous, the food was fabulous, and this Englishman adopted by America explained every step of high tea. I loved every minute of it :-)
I'll have to send you the layout I made of it. LOVE yours! The lion bubble made me LOL! :-D
