i wasn't born an optimist.
I was always a 'glass half empty' sort of girl.
I am a natural worrier and letting go of things never sat very easily with me.Unlike Nigel - the world's greatest optimist.
However, I changed a few years back due to several events which happened and thanks to a book - The Shack - which truly had a profound effect on me and how I live my life today.
Over the past few years my faith has strengthened, along with my resolve.
I look on the bright side of life. I let worries and angst go. The only person anger hurts is yourself and worry achieves nothing at all.You have a choice in this life. You can go through life being miserable, cross with everything and everyone and your misery becomes all consuming. Or you can look on the bright side, you can know that God never sends you more than you can bear - though at times it may seem so. You can find joy every day in the smallest of things if you just look and a smile is so much healthier for you and everyone around you than a frown.
I feel sorry for the people who see so little joy in life. I wish they could see the benefits of the positive thinking too. It's not always easy, of course it is not, and there are days when you really really have to concentrate on finding the good. But it is always there, somewhere. Often in the smallest thing. And if you work at it life is so much easier.
I am so much happier than I have ever been because of these changes.
When I saw Dawn's Think Positive Collection I knew I had to record that in a page.
Today I confess to finding little joy in ironing a whole mess of clothes in high humidity and termpratures of almost 30 again. But it had to be done, and the cold shower was fabulous afterwards.
Now I promised a giveaway of Dawn's amazing Dolly Daydream collection.
Thank you to those of you who enetered.
I promised Fiki would pick the winner.
I am sorry but it really didn't work out. I tried, for ages, but the heat is getting to him too and he really didn't want to play.
So I resorted to using this web site called randomiser.
And this is the result
The winner is Barb in AK. Check your e mails for an e mail from me with your download code to claim your free collection.
Thank you for enetering everyone and I hope you had fun looking at Dawn's store and browsing her goodies. I am sure you found things to inspire you.
Today I am thankful for
- Being strong enough to look for the positives.
- Jobs well done
- The Shack - I really do recommend it
- Dawn for offering me the chance to give away a complete Dolly Daydream collection.
Oh how exciting! Thank you so much for the chance to win the beautiful collection! I'm not a very good digital scrapper, but I do enjoy playing around with it :-) I'll share the results, when I get something put together :-D Thanks again!
