Scrapping before it gets scrapped

It's been a lovely lazy day today - I love that about the start of the holiays - it just seems to stretch ahead and there is no rush to do things.

When you only have a couple of days ahead it is kind of frantic to try and cram everything in.

I did do the UKS weekly today though and it was a chance to scrap a miniature that I think is going to be scrapped.

Several years ago - I think in 202 (my goodness how can that be 11 years ago!!!) I made this fisherman's hut.

I genuinely have no idea why - I just fancied making it. I saw the shed and wanted to make a diorama so the concept was born.

 

 

 

 

Anyway - it laguished in the garage for a few years, getting dusty, and I took a few things off to use elsewhere and I have decided it has to go. But before it did I took some more photos and I scrapped it today. Hence the scrapped before it is scrapped.

I may keep the hut as it could be used again for another project, re-painted etc. But it is done being a fisherman's scene for now.

 

The details show one of my favourite bits, the sand and shels and crabs I made and the piers I made with things I found in the garden.

I even made seaweed.

 

 

 

 

 

I even used a piece of wood paper I have had for 10 years. It was from the very first ever pack of scrap paper I ever bought - back in America in August 2003. I guess it was about time I used it!

 

 

So it is due for demolition any day soon.

I may turn it into a beach hut and do a fun beach scene - who knows. Maybe when I am not working! Maybe one day.

 

Today I am thankful for

• The joy my miniature crafting brings
• Getting better at throwing out

Try selling it on ebay first!! I would stick it on there with a minimum price and see what happens. If it doesn't seel you are out a few pence for advertising it. If it does sell the make sure the buyer collects it. and you have the space while they get to enjoy your handiwork. I hate to think of things being broken up when they are so cool

Oh that diorama is so cute :-) And the layout is just wonderful :-) You take such fabulous photos. There always seems to be such dimension to your photos. My photos always look flat as can be. Do you ever do any tweaking with a photo editing program?
