Today we had a bit of a wasted journey but do you know what .... nothingis wasted as it is a holiday and whtever we do is nice as it is no pressure, chilld and relaxed.
My car had to be MOTd today and so we went out in 2 cars and dropped my little car off at the garage. I love my little car and she does really well, brightening my day whenever the sun shines and she turns topless. I was hoping she'd pass with flying colours and she almost did. Sadly she needed two new rear tyres. OUCH
We planned to go to Poundbury. Well, not even planned. We DID go to Poundbury. There was a lovely craft shop there - the emphais being on WAS - and we planned to do the Poundbury Treasure Trail we wanted to do.
Poundbury is such a surreal place. In many ways it reminds us of Celebration, but also a bit like Stepford! It's kind of unreal, like yoiu have stumbled into a movie set that isn't quite finished.
Anyway, the craft shop was closed! Nothing warned us of that. And then it was too tooo cold to do the treasure trail so we just came home. But it didn't matter. We just had a nice time together.
I have a new page to share which is for my poetry book. I started the poetry book several years ago and every so often I add to it. It is eventually going to be a collection of some of my favourite poems. I love poetry and one day, when I finish it, it will be a nice keepsake.
This is a new page for it using the brand new Fragile collection by Dawn Inskip.
Today I am thankful for
- an afternoon of carfting - a really exciting project I can't share yet.
- days out, even if they are not planned
- my car back
I went to go to that craft shop too a few weeks ago! What i have found is a lovely cafe 'Cafe on the green' (next to Dorchester house of chocolate that has an outlet and lots of cheap chocolate!) that has wonderful food and staff who have learning disabilities whom are great, so if you do venture over again, worth popping in to say hi.
