It's been a lovely day in every sense of the word today.
The sun has shone, it is mild and we have achieved such a lot.
We were up early to take Nigel's car to get a new windscreen. And then for pretty much the rest of the day I have scrapped. And it has felt good.
I made a digital page for PBP, using a kit by Studio Lalie Designs called Dream Day available HERE I couldn't resist doing a page of Fantastic Mr Fox.
I also made my JYC page using this photo of the day
and I scrapped several paper pages inmcluding this one of our recent trip along the south coast.
Nigel and I are probably the only ones who will appreciate the title. One of our favourite drives in America is along PCH 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) especially the route from Huntington Beach all along to Dana Point and Laguna. It is beautiful. This was a coast road too but not quite PCH 1!
I have also almost finished two calendars of our recent Florida trip - one for each of us.
Today I am thankful for
- a lovely chilled scrapping day
- a repaired windscreen
- a parcel I was waiting in for arriving.
and finally my page a day calendar page - and I love this one
“I have to work late.” I could hear the stress in my daughter’s voice. “Can you pick up Drake and let him spend a few hours with you?”
I was always glad to spend time with my grandson. “Of course. I’ll go straight from work.”
When I pulled into the driveway of the sitter’s house, I heard Drake before I saw him. He was giggling, peeking through the railing on the porch steps. “Hey, buddy!” I said. With that, he ran down the sidewalk and threw himself into my arms.
Drake had no idea what I had planned for us to do—whether it was sort laundry or take a trip to the
park, whether we would eat at his favorite fast-food restaurant or have grilled cheese at my house. It didn’t matter to him. His joy was in being with me, basking in the presence of his nana.
I thought about that later, when I began my evening prayers. Did I run to God with a list of “give-me’s” and “help-me’s,” or did I approach Him filled with joy at simply being with Him?
I didn’t say much to God that night. I just drew near to Him and waited. Whatever He had planned was just fine with me.

I'm hoping to get some scrapping done after Christmas Day. But I'd better not hold my breath! LOL!!! :-D
