The weather forecsast was terrible for today but although it has rained most of the day, the high winds forecast have yet to arrive.
However, we resigned ourselves to day of being in and playing .... some hardship huh!
It's been a crafting day. I have done a little scrapping, made a few cards and also made some little tree ornaments. We wanted soemthing to go in my Advent house and saw some little wooden ornaments, which I have now painted and we bought a little gold tree from Next so each day will have an ornament to add to the mini tree.
Well it is worth a try - but at this point I am not sure it is worth the effort as it has been very fiddly to drill all the holes, paint and glitter them. We'll see. We may revert back to just sticking a chocolate in for each day!
As I type this the smell of our Thanksgiving dinner is permeating the house and it smells divine. Turkey and all the trimmings. Yum.
I haven't scanned the pages I have made today and I haven't taken my photo of the day yet, so here is a page made a while ago
The papers are fromt he Endless love collection by Indigo Designs which are some of my favourites. The mask is gorgeous and the leaves and bunting are fromt he same collection.

MYSTERIOUS WAYS
I settled into my seat on the redeye from L.A. to D.C. I couldn’t wait to get some sleep. Then I spotted a big guy maneuvering down the aisle, and I knew—lucky me—I had a seatmate.
He sat next to me and started talking. “Never did like flying, always too hot or cold. And these
seats are too small, don’t ya think? But I can’t complain. Lord knows, I’m a blessed man …”
So much for sleep. At least I was used to the annoyances of flying. Every summer for six years I’d flown to South America for mission trips. I’d had my seat kicked and my tray table bumped, often when I was deep in thought or prayer, trying to make sense of my faith in the context of all the suffering. Once I’d even lost my favorite book in the mad rush to disembark. So I smiled politely. “Name’s Billy,” he finally said. “What’s yours?”
“April,” I said. “April Grube.”
Abruptly, the man stopped talking. The strangest look came over his face. “Have you ever been to South
America?” he asked. “When? What airline? You don’t know me,” he said, “but if it weren’t for you, I don’t know what would’ve become of me.”
Three years earlier, Billy was unemployed, living with his parents, desperately unhappy. He’d gone to South America, hoping new places would renew him. But everywhere he went, he saw suffering. No God would allow such pain, he thought. On the plane back, he searched his seat pocket for headphones. Instead, he found a book, Searching for God Knows What, by Donald Miller.
The pages were filled with handwritten notes. At first, Billy laughed at their sincerity and naïveté. But the doubts and questions and thoughts echoed his own. He read the book cover to cover. There, written on the last page, was the name of the owner: April Grube.

WooooHoooo! Thanks for the great layout idea for the Paris hotel! Steve and I were there last spring, and I have yet to scrap it :-)
