It's been quite a week. I don't think there was a single 'normal' day snuck in there ... although what actually IS normal!
We were out at Poole Speedway's Christmas celebration hosted by Matt last night, and rather marvellous it was too. We were very luck that friends took us to the Stadium where we boarded a coach and were whisked off to the country hotel for a great meal, great company and rather a lot of wine. We expected to get a taxi back from the stadium or even walk but someone very kindly ran us home which was lovely.
Today we went for a nice walk all through the park and along Baiter. It was really really quiet. There are usually a lot of people on the quay and it was empty (we later found out why ... they were all in the Dolphin Centre christmas shopping!!!)
I love Poole and I loved the contrast with the peoper old fishing boats in the shots above and the lobster pots and then the other side of the quay - the home of Sunseeker and the marina where there are usually some impressive modern boats moored up.
When I was in Poole I was lucky enough to meet another lady who is a visitor to this blog. It always takes me aback a little that people come here and read it on a regular basis and are then kind enough to stop me when they see me and tell me. Thank you so much for stopping to say hello. I walked round with a daft smile on my face after that! Thank you x
I was taking pictures in the Dolphin Centre of some of the decorations, but they didn't come out well as the light was not bright enough for no flash and the things were too far away for proper flash photos. But you get the idea. I kind of liked this bell one as you can see us in the bell at the bottom.
and you have to love the countdown clock. Yikes it is close.
Once home I did a bit of catch up on my JYC (I am really not liking the book I made but am persevering a little longer)
This is page 6 for Tuesday
And this the page holding Day 7 and 8 - front and back
- people being kind enough to stop and chat and say they visit here
- The beautiful town I live in
- Cold December mornings
I really like the bell photo. Looks like a lovely day. Jenx

Hello again! Its nice to know that I made you smile! I stop by regularly to read your blog, so the least I could do was to say hello when I saw you in town! Hope you had a successful trip round town, fighting through all those shoppers.
Have a wonderful Christmas with Nigel! x
