Do you know with all of these Bank Holidays and work then no work I have no clue what day of the week it is. I guess routine life will kick in soon enough and all be very predictable and these halcyon days will seem little but a memory, but at the moment it is so bizarre.
We went for a walk along Poole Park then Baiter and the quay and through town this morning and this afternoon I have been half-heartedly scrapping. I had a long lazy bath that was supposed to be a quick dip but I found the new Jodi Picoult Nigel had bought me for Christmas and that was the afternoon gone really!
I have made a page of the street party, using the new Dawn Inskip Fever Pitch kit which is just right for all of your wedding pages.
I also made a page about my little chap as I was so awfully proud of him yesterday and I just wanted to document that. And yes - a proper genuine paper page.
We had to go tot he vets yesterday. Kira needed her eyes checked, he needed his back and legs checked and I was so very very proud to be Fiki's Mommy. He was a little unhappy in his carrier so I took him out int he waiting room and he nestled right into me, purred his heart out, never struggled and kept looking up for kisses and he was so stunningly beautiful (OK so I am a tad biased) he drew so many admiring comments. I was so proud of him.
I used some lovely sheer ribbon from a box of choclates that just echoed his colours.
I made the flower/medallion from a stamping up stamp just layered several times and coloured with distress inks.
I used some old Thickers felt letters
And of course lots of sewing. What doesn't show is the shaped paper I cut fromt he most gorgeous metallic paper which really shimmers in real life.
Today I am thankful for
- lazy Sundays and book - no matter whether they are real or Kindle you can't beat a good read, lying on the bed with a cat curled up on your tummy. I try and read for half an hour to an hour every evening and it is 'our' time, me and my boy. We snug up together and it is bliss. It has got to the stage now that eh knows if I go up to the bedroom in the early evening he comes running for his snuggle time. I guess we are ALL creatures of habit.
Beautiful page - he truly is a gorgeous boy :)
