I am NOT going to mention again what a busy day I have had.
OK - so I am a little!!!!
Anyway - on to nice things.
Today we had an early Christmas present. Nigel has a friend in Florida and we had a big parcel come today. He had said we had to open it before Christmas and so we did. There were three wrapped presents. One we need to keep till Boxing Day. The other two were so beautifully wrapped and are two huge nutcrackers. We have often admire these in America and to have two is just such a lovely thing. They are even from a store I know and love in Florida so we are very very thrilled with such a beautiful, thoughtful and generous gift and they are standing in pride of place each side of our hearth.
Also i had a really nice surprise when i came home. I am on the CT for Kate's Digital Designs and she has a fab new kit out called Thankfully available at her stores.
I needed to join a new forum Enchanted Studio Scraps to post there for her.
So I posted the page I made with the kit
and when I came home just now I found out I had won Layout of the day. How wonderful is that. I was so thrilled.
So - a bit of a bad day but in reality a good day.
Now nothing like waiting until the 11th hour but I have made my pages for the chicken soup challenges and just not had the chance to upload them. So here they are.
This is my page for recipe number 21. I started by using paint splatter on the paper but I blended it a little too much and it sort of merged so I echoed it with the brush of the bird.
And this is my take on recipe 20 - the trees were the inpiration as well as the autumnal colours.
My quote for today is
- the generosity of friends, not in what they spend but the thought and time that goes into gifts
- winning layout of the day.
Nice to read you have such thoughtful friends. :)
Congratulations on the LOTD!
