So - a special post today then ....
Those of you who visit here regularly know I love cats (no secret there then … I am not called crazy cat lady for no reason) but that I also love LOL cats. I am an Icanhazcheeseburger addict and feature a LOL cat or two most days on my blog.
I love them – they amuse me no end.
So I was thrilled when I heard that Shimelle was going to have a challenge as part of her cyber crop that involved adding LOL cat style captions to pictures.
Of course they didn’t have to be cats, but come on now, you know me. And I do have the odd two or three (million) pictures of my fur family.
I had such fun trawling through some of the kitten pictures and making my own LOL cats.
It is really easy to do. Just open the photo in whatever photo editing programme you have and add the text. I made mine in PSE 5. I used Book Antiqua for my font in white and added a shadow in black. I then resaved it as a new jpeg and, voila.
It works with whatever photo you use, although I have to say I like the ones that have some natural blank space in the photo best.
I also like the ones featuring both of them as the ‘conversation’ they might be having really amuses me.
I have loved doing this so much I see a mini book emerging.
I hope you enjoy my LOL cats and make sure you check out this challenge and the rest of the fabulous cyber crop at Shimelle
I have enjoyed playing along with many of the other challenges as well.
This was what I made for the challenge to use circles. I ended up using quite a few from the frame, buttons, patterned paper and smiley face.
and this was my page for the challenge to use black and white photos. I must admit I use black and white photos quite a bit.
I hope you have all had a fun saturday. This morning i went to a car boot sale and we made our target of £100 (actually we were a little over) We have cleared space and have the money we need for the camera we want to buy so it was a good day.
I have played a little more with the cyber crop too.
First some photos ...
For the nature challenge - the purple heather in a glimpse (albeit brief) of sunshine
A challenge to photograph a sign - well this is a sign in my kitchen
To photograph down - my feet and this is especially important because it is August and I am in leggins and socks ... I should be in crops and flip flops. It's not right!!!!
A picture of reflections. well it was raining and I didn't want to use a mirror so this is me in the kitchen tv
Lights at night were yesterday. My sprakly lamp that Fiki keeps eating.
and the final photo for today and I promise I took this less than an hour ago. I went in the lounge, looked through the window and voila. See - you get these magic gifts. I knew I had to take a picture 'up' and look what was there .... we get so many rainbows. We get several every month at least - often way more - and always there. And sometimes we get doubles and the full arch.
The one of the whole arch isn't very good as the direction of light is too different to merge them successfully, but you get the idea.
See - we mustn't moan about the rain because without the rain we'd never get rainbows.
And a couple of scrapping challenges.
First to use pink - i needed a card so I made this one.
To use a heart - I hope this counts as I can't show the whole project but i did make it this afternoon and it does have a heart.
To use at least 4 patterned papers (Wow that was hard and I ended up basing it on a sketch too)
and finally .... - using lists and numbers 1 - 10 (and one of Shimelle's own top ten lists)
And today I am thankful for
- A successful car boot sale
Ohhh you have some very cute kitties... :)

Absolutely love your lol catz! I did one with one of my cats, but I like your idea of a mini book - I have loads of piccies of them doing silly things and my daugher (who introduced me to lol catz) comes up with brilliant captions, so think that's another one on the 'to do' list!
