Nigel's brother and sister-in-law arrived from America last night and Nigel is so excited to have family over. He has been preparing the house and garden for weeks (and it looks awesome)
He picked them up from the airport last night and took them to his Mom's and then we went over this morning. It was lovely to see them - and all the more lovely that Jim said I had changed enormously and looked like the girl he met in 1983 at the top of the Empire State Building. (a little of an exaggeration as I was a mere 23 then but very nice of him to notice I had changed at all actually!)
It's a great story how I met Jim for the first time at the Empire State Building in 1983 - but maybe for another time.
It is Jim's birthday today and as I know he occasionally pop in .... Happy Birthday Jim.
They both look well and we had a lovely little wander round Bournemouth before going our separate ways for a bit of shopping.
They had a French Market on in Bournemouth which was fun to look around.
There was a 'Living Statue' who was really good.
I did some fab shopping getting a pair of shoes, a skirt, a pair of trousers, a gorgeous gorgeous bag and - soemthing I have wanted for ages - a lightweight summer jacket.
I have another template page to share with you - made with Dawn's amazing templates. It is a page for my Making of Me album.
I have downloaded the pictures from yesterday and have a couple to share.
The gorgeous gorgeous silverback. he is apparently the oldest silverback in Europe and he was magnificent.
and a zebra with her two week old foal
My quote for today is
Today I am thankful for
- shopping and nice things
- compliments
