It has been a rewarding day today because
.
.
.drum roll please
.
.
.
the timetable is finished! YEY! I am so pleased. It is such a weight off my mind when it is done.
I also have a brand new bed. But I am not completely convinced about it I have to say.
It is one of the all singing all dancing beds that massages, has a moveable head and feet bit so you can have your head raised, your feet raised etc. It has a memory matress and is very swish but it is big - we have built in units and it is right up to the edge so I am a bit wary of how it looks at the moment. It was made to measure to fit perfectly - and it does, but i am used to gaps. And those of you who know me well know I don't like change!
I also want to share a new photo of me just cos it was the first time I wore my new jeans last Friday.
Now on to 5210. First can I straighten a few things out.
There is no question, ever, of me making it into a paid class. I started it as a free class and it will remain free. My aim was never to make any money out of it. My aim was always to go on a journey myself and invite friends along the way to share that journey. When people seemed to like it I did think maybe I could raise money for charity with it, but never ever will I do this class for personal gain. However, if you haven't donated and you think the class is worth a small amount, please do go to my Just Giving page and donate. I am raising money for people with cnacer who go into our local hospice. They are facing the end of their lives and it seemed apt that a hobby where we preserve memories went to help people who don't have much time left to build their memories.
Also quite a lot of people feel they need to apologise that they have fallen behind, haven't had time to dot he prompts etc. Please DON'T. This was meant for you to use as you wanted. If you want to just read the prompts and have a think, great. If you want to do some of the prompts and not others, great. If you want to do every prompt the same day as it is posted, great. There was never intended to be any pressure of any shape or form. As I said, it is my journey and you are welcome to join in whatever way you want to. As much or as little, whenever you want. The only thing I have ever asked is that you comment when you download, even if the comment is just that it was fun to read but you are not planning on scrapping. Please please don't feel guilty or behind or late or anything else negative. heck, we all have enough pressures in our lives, we sure as heck don't need them in our hobby as well.
II had great fun making a tongue in cheek advert for my home town. It might have been a bit easier than some places because my home town really is a tourist attraction.
I opted to do this page digitally and print it out because I had just bought the coolest torn photo mats and I wanted to use them! Plus, I don't know about you, but my album is fairly fat already. A lot of my pages are very lumpy and I have done two pages for quite a lot of prompts. I need to keep the weight down a little.
Exam week starts tomorrow at school and it is one of my favourite weeks of the year. Why? Well I get to be a form teacher for three days and sit and invigilate my class for their exams which means lots of quiet, no phone, no meetings, no visitors and lots of time to catch up on admin work whilst I am invigilating. I love it.
My quote for today is
Today I am thankful for
- a finished timetable
- and possibly thankful for a new bed .... we'll see.
Hi, great photo of you. Thanks again for the 52-10. I have just caught up and downloaded 4 weeks worth. Hoping to do a full album later on in the year.

I've just downloaded prompt 23 and 24. I fully intend to complete this challenge and love all the prompts so far. Since starting the 52 week challenge we've found some beautiful spots around Birmingham (despite living here all of my life) that we've never visited before. So looking forward to thinking about this prompt, particularly.

Karen, have just had a bit of a catch up read of your blog and I'm sorry to hear that you've been having negative comments about 52 in 10. I for one would love to see you continue to put the prompts on here so that they are available to download forever. I'm planning on doing an album based on your prompts once i get my craft space finally sorted and have loved reading some of the prompts so far and love reading the blog and seeing all the interesting places you've visited.
Love the picture of you in your new jeans, your weight loss is inspiring
Thank you
