That is so lovely! It's just wonderful when you have the "right" person to share your life with. I feel much the same about my dear D.
Glad Nigel's redundancy/enforced retirement is turning out okay. It is a real shock to be made redundant. When it happened to me, I had so many mixed feelings. It turned out to be the best thing for the whole family - my pay had been needed to finance a bank loan, but the redundancy paid it off. I didn't need to work any longer and was able to take over the accounting for D's business and reduce little J's hours at nursery to something sensible, instead of the long hours that he had been there before.
From what you have told us before, it sounds as if Nigel has really made the best of his time since the redundancy and is enjoying his new life.
I'm sorry he's not all that well though. Hope he is soon better.

Such a lovely tribute too to Nigel and I am sure his quality of life is so much better these days following retirement and hope he is feeling better soon!
Awaiting todays prompt and glad I had a chance to read this!
