We have been out visiting bathroom showrooms today. We have decided the time has come to change our now very dated en suite bathroom.
It is just such a daunting prospect. So much around is so modern and a little to way out for us. It isn't a huge bathroom but is the one we use every day and so want to get it right. we want to go with a white suite, with matt tiles in a cream colour and keep it simple, but heck - there is a lot of choice and it is so easy to get it wrong. We have now decided that, even though it will cost more, we are just going to go with an instillation and design company who will coordinate it all. I can't be doing with the working with four or five different companies and trying to tie it all up. I prefer how we did the other bathroom. Someone would come each day and announce they were a plumber, or a tiler, or an electrician etc and they just got on and did it. So much better.
I also scrapped a little today and yesterday. The spring page at the top was made for the UKS house challenge this month based ona poem and the page here is a special one for us.
It is our wedding anniversary tomorrow - 23 wonderful years - and it got me thinking about how we had changed. The page was made using a sheet of patterned papers cut up and rearranged in a different way and the two photos are almost 23 years apart.
We look much older - more than 23 years older I think - but .... and here is the slushy bit .... we both agree that, although we were in love on our wedding day it was a very different sort of love and what we have now is so much deeper, stronger, and all consuming.
I think we both feel very lucky
Happy Anniversary for tomorrow Karen and Nigel, you are both special people AND so in love. Have a lovely day both of you.
