As I couldn't find my mojo (and believe me - I have looked everywhere. I need to start using some of the stash I bought) I went over to the Mojo Holder blog and had ago at their challenge number 28.
It was just the kick start I needed as it was a really linear design - very me.
We had a wonderful evening at Huntington Beach in California whilst we were away. Although we were staying at Newport Beach down the road a way, we went to Huntington Beach to catch some sunset pictures. We know Huntington Beach well as Nigel's cousin lived within walking distance of the beach for many years (what an amazing place to live eh!) and so it was our obvious choice.
The lifeguard station looked fab in silhouette and the surfer, catching the last few waves of the evening made a great image. I kept it very very simple as I loved the pictures. Apart from coloured chipboard letters - my usual technique LOL - I used a sticker and a rub on on the large picture as printing it int his format meant there was a lot of solid black that needed breaking up.
Thank you Mojo Holder for giving me the kick start I needed to press on with this album.
Still no news about Kira. Apparently it can take up to a week for the results and so it could be any day this week. She is still eating well, but still a little skinny mini. The good news is that her scabs seemed to have dried up and she is no longer looking so bad round her poor little face. I am wondering if the whole thing - the 'allergy', the weight loss etc was stress related and she just pined for us being away. It has made me thing I am never leaving them again!
