As most of the country returned to work today ... we didn't.
We do still work - just not every day or full days and actually that is probably the royal 'we' as it is Nigel who works at the moment.
However, I will be starting work soon and I do do design work so it kind of counts. OK - it doesn't but I have served my time and I am liking our new life.
The purpose of life it to have a life of purpose and we certainly still have that.
We headed out to the forest today as it was gorgeous. Really frosty first thing. I snapped this of the lichen on our garden wall - something so tiny and yet so perfect and beautiful dusted with nature's frosting.
The forest was gorgeous - although our walk was a tad chilly!
On returning home after lunch I did a little scrapping. I was going to start the 'sorting from hell' that I have been promising since July but it WILL start tomorrow. I need to sort and label all my papers. My dilemma is - colour, pattern, manufacturer, a mix? Decisions decisions, but sort and label one way or the other is what I must do so I don't spend forever searching for things. It will be a huge job as I have 24 cropper hopper magazine files of patterned papers but I think it will simplify things in the long run and I am sure there will be a lot of papers that I will decide not to keep and they can add to my craft boxes for the local hospice.
New scrapping today was this page
It wasn't designed to be pretty or clever - just a record of something we wanted to record from our trip. Proper scrapping. Just a memory not an art work.
Today I am thankful for
