Just a quick post today to shout out a new collection by Dawn Inskip inspired by the new J K Rowling film Fantastic Beasts and where to find them.
I have not seen the film yet - we tend not to go to the cinema, preferring to wait until films are out on DVD. I figure it is not going anywhere so we will see it when it is out on DVD
However, Dawn has a fabulous new collection inspired by the film.
This is the element pack
Lush isn't it.
I knew as soon as I saw it what I wanted to make with it. There is a fantastic beast we share our home with and he should come with a very large and serious warning notice attached!
Looks the picture of innocence doesn't he! Actually you couldn't get a more loving cat - he sits on as whenever we stop for a few seconds and has to be with us and right on us. He lies across our chest and gazes up into our eyes. I have never known a cat do this like him. However he is also very very very naughty and deliberately destructive. He is like a child - if he is not getting the attention he wants he acts up until he gets it and yes, we know positive reinforcement etc and try and ignore him but when he is going to smash stuff or tear stuff you have to intervene and so he gets the attention he wants. Having said that - we wouldn't be without him for the world, though we know we will have to be one day. He is an old gentleman now and will be 14 this year. He is a bit stiff these days but still in good health despite having PKD. His sister is so well behaved - she has good manners and is a different cat entirely. It is funny that when we bought them the breeder said she was a little madam and he was the weak tiny runt of the litter, half her weight the day we bought them home at 12 weeks old. Funny how things change isn't it. She is tiny - but incredibly strong - and he is huge ... tall, long and with massive paws. Anyway he is my fantastic beast.
Today I am thankful for
