It has been glorious today - and as I sit here recording what seems to be the first day of spring, all I can hear is bird song. So many birds visit our garden. We have just refilled the feeders (they cost us a fortune ... but are worth every penny ) and they are very happy to thrill us with their presence.
The regular visitors include robins, great tits, blue tits, coal tits, blackbids, thrushes, woodpeckers, dunnocks, pigeons and the less often seen chaffinches, greenfinches, gold finches and the occasional Goshawk, Heron, jay and kestral thrown in for good measure.
It's a joy to watch and to listen to.
We went to collect my final pair of glasses - for this round - from Specsavers. The first pair of prescription sunglasses I have had for years ... and what a day to get them as I wore them.
We went to Hamworthy park - one of my favourite places locally - and it was glorious. Warm, sunny, calm and beautiful. After a really hectic week, my soul is restored.
Loved this one which looks dark as it was shooting into the sun
absolutely lovely and so lovely I was keen to scrap the photos.
There was a Green Buttons fun night last night at UKS but I had work to do and then was too tired to play. I caught up today and this was a challenge to use chipboard. I have loads of the stuff and rarely use it. So here it is.
The chipboard was inked and stamped
Today I am thankful for
- Spring - weather and views to restore the soul and bring joy
- sunglasses - yey
- weekends and time to recoup
