It's been a busy old day today. We planned to drive down to Brighton to watch the IAPS National Netball Finals . Awesome
We planned to leave about 7.30.
However, as were awake from 4.30 we figured, why waste the time.
Nigel was at Tesco at 5.30 am and tells me it is a great time to shop and everyone else was very sensibly still in bed. I hope I never find out for myself!
Anyway we set off to Brighton early and had a wonderful day.
the finals were at Roedean. What a setting.
The school is high on the cliffs overlooking Brighton and it was glorious sunny day and an event which was so well organised. The 12 minute matches on 12 courts all ran to time, they had parking sorted well, refreshments and eveything. A great day.
On the way home we drove along the front and the sun was in totally the wrong direction. Got sunny pictures of the lovely iron work
but not the right light for the pier or the wheel.
I have a new page to share today and it is keeping in with the sporting day.
It was make for the challenge on UKS and is my wonderful hubby - then and now.
Speedways runs through our blood. My Daddy was a speedway rider (and a wall of death rider, and a display team rider). Nigel grew up as a huge speedway fan and then became a cycle speedway rider. Now? Well now he is the presenter at Poole Pirates; speedway world champions.
I love the photos of him. However the speedway bike photo is of a stationary bike. I have told him if he ever gets on one that is moving he rides as a single man!
Today I am thankful for
- safe travel
- great feelings of pride
- sitting down (my legs are killing me)
- and I HOPE to be thankful for an early night.
