I haven’t been doing well on the blogging front – sometimes life gets in the way!
We have been a way for a couple of days to see family ‘ooop North and a lovely time we had too.
It seems so long since I have seen my wonderful god-daughter and her family and ti was just lovely to catch up and have a great time together.
It was like a little mini Christmas.
And I seem to have left my heart up there – Elinor stole it.
I love those girls to bits but Elinor is just at her most adorable and we played for a long time.
She is also blessed with the most gorgeous hair I have ever seen on anyone – just like her Bossy Nanny’s but I suspect she gets it from her Daddy. And though the hair colour is different she looks so like her Mommy when she was little too.
It was a lovely trip and I got to wear all of Elinor’s jewels. And she was really brave and didn’t cry when between us we broke one of her precious bracelets. The last photo shows the sad little face. Bless her. Despite trying very very hard Aunty Karen couldn’t mend it – but she did manage to buy plenty of new jewels for the adorable little munchkin today.
This morning we decided to pay a visit to the Trafford centre and we were there when it opened and wonderfully quiet it was too.
The place was all decorated for Christmas and there was even a singing Christmas tree.
I love the food court, decked out like a cruise ship, and the New Orleans Quarter is really nicely done. Who needs Vegas and the Forum Shops when you have Manchester eh!
It was a fairly tedious journey home as it rained pretty much all of the way but it is nice to be home.
Today I am thankful for
- a lovely few days
- being home
- Samantha and her family enriching our lives.
